A finished press-on set can bring the shape, color and artwork together. Start with the silhouette you want, then check the actual set before choosing it.
Start with a shape
Short squoval, rounded almond and long coffin are different choices, even in the same color. Use the design references below to compare the silhouette before adding more decoration.
- Short squoval: a fine black French edge
- Almond: burgundy and a small star
- Long coffin: matte black and a crescent
- More short French directions
These are generated design references, not the exact products at a retailer. A finished set may have different artwork, curvature, opacity or length even when its name sounds similar.
Check the fit, not only the name
Look for the width range and measurement instructions for the exact set. A kit with several sizes and a made-to-order set with ten preselected nails need different information from you. If a seller offers a sizing kit, check whether it applies to the same shape and range you plan to order.
Short and long are not universal measurements. The natural length of your nail bed also changes how much of the finished nail extends beyond your fingertip. Compare millimeter lengths or a clear on-hand view wherever the listing provides them.
If you are between sizes, follow the current instructions for that product. Manufacturer guidance can differ, and even separate pages from the same brand can conflict. Do not apply a universal size-up or size-down rule to every set.

Know what comes in the set
Before leaving for the merchant, decide which details matter: finish, shape, length and artwork. At the listing, confirm the available variant and what the package actually includes. Adhesive tabs, glue, a file or a cuticle stick are not guaranteed simply because another set supplied them.
A separate charm, a printed motif and a painted accent are different ways to create a detail. Raised decoration can change the feel of a set. Read the actual description and close photographs instead of assuming a smooth image means a flat finish.
For application, wear and removal, use the product’s current directions and warnings. We have not tested these products, so manufacturer wear-duration or damage-related promises are not our own results. Also check delivery availability, timing and the merchant’s return or custom-order conditions for your location.
